Tues. May 19

Hello everyone! We arrived in Texas about 10 am. We drove through Houston and are here right now outside of San Antonio. Our campground is nice, lots of walking trails and little streams and lakes. We are going to take 2 more days to get to Big Bend Nat'l Park. Not too much to add today but it was a good and beautiful day to travel. Love

  2. Don't forget to go down to the river walk in San Antonio - definitely worth the time. When we were there it was over 100 degrees, but hopefully not so hot now.
    Have fun.

  3. Hi again - just talked to Bob and he reminded me that you should take Rt. 90 to Del Rio, then Rt. 674 to Alamo Village - this is where they filmed John Wayne's THE ALAMO. It is definitely worth seeing. It is an actual real Texas Ranch. From there we went just a few minutes to Camp Henry which is an old army camp; it is at the intersection of Rt. 90 and Rt. 674 - very interesting! From there we went on Rt. 90 wet of Del Rio to the Judge Roy Bean Visitor Center - another interesting spot. Gee - our trip is coming back into our "memory banks" - you sure are in for a great trip!
